Ted Cowie is our principal English teacher, and head of the ESL program.

His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA, and the Advanced TESL Certificate. He has had extensive experience in the financial and economic research, small business consulting, computer systems design and teaching.

He became interested in teaching foreign students in 1995. He is sensitive to the needs and many problems associated with learning English in Toronto. He believes that to be successful, students need to learn English from native speaking English Canadians and be prepared to work hard to achieve their goals.

"Learning English is a challenge, hard work and a great investment in your future", he stated in a recent English textbook he has written.

Mr Cowie is a member of the TESL International Society and has been certified by Human Resources Development Canada, a Ministry of the Canadian Government.
